Set realistic expectations. They don't cure hearing loss or make it perfect. It takes time to get used to them. Wear them as often as possible and limit noisy places at first. Things will likely sound 'off' the first several weeks as the brain readjusts to som e sounds (footsteps, etc) Ensure ears are dry before inserting hearing aids. Turn them off when not in use. It's better to leave earwax alone. Overcleaning can cause itching or irritation since earwax lubricates the ear canal. If your ears are itchy you can use a moisturizer at night.
