Age (60 and above - 1 point)
Blood Pressure (at or above 140/90 - 1 point)
Clinical Features of speech impairment and/or focal weakness (focal weakness - 2 points, speech impairment without focal weakness - 1 point)
Duration of Symptoms (60 minutes or more - 2 points, less than 60 minutes - 1 point)
Diabetes mellitus (1 point)
Scoring
1 to 3 points - 1% risk of CVA within 2 days following Transient Ischemic Attack
4 to 5 points - 4.1% risk of CVA within 2 days following Transient Ischemic Attack
6 to 7 points - 8.1% risk of CVA within 2 days following Transient Ischemic Attack
