General Malignancy Red Flags
Difficulty swallowing or speaking
Enlarging masses
Excessive bruising or bleeding
Night sweats, fevers, and chills
Unexplained weight loss >10 lb
Worsening fatigue
Malignant Spinal Cord Compression Red Flags
Bowel or bladder incontinence
New or worsening pain in a specific area, especially the thoracic spine
Pain that is worse at night or when recumbent
Progressive neurologic deficit
